In our practice a GP referral is required to see Dr Kylie Shaw. A GP referral is NOT required to see Dr Martin Schutte.
As medical specialists we have access to specific medicare item numbers which are dependant on patients being referred by their GP. THIS IS A MEDICARE REQUIREMENT if you wish to claim a rebate for the consultation
GP referrals are valid for 12 months from the date of your visit. Other medical specialist referrals are valid for 3 months.
Please note we DO NOT ACCEPT REFERRALS for Third Party Insurance, DVA or Workers Compensation claims and do no medical reporting for third party organisations.
For your Initial consultation:
Fees are payable at the completion of the consultation, and your Medicare claim will be submitted for reimbursement to the account you have recorded with Medicare.
We do not accept cash, cheques or AMEX.
